The Triton Raider is now breaking new ground across Australia, but the story first began in the Premcar factory with a brief from Mitsubishi Motors Australia to build the most capable off-road Triton ever.
FROM CONCEPT TO REALITY
Upgraded and tuned for extreme Australian conditions
Starting from a sketch, Premcar applied their 30 years of experience to the challenge of making the Triton even more capable and adventurous, while retaining Mitsubishi's famous reliability.
Design
Premcar designers sketch and layout a unique blueprint for the Triton Raider with new, enhanced features for a tougher, more capable ute.
Engineering
Premcar's world-class engineers upgrade the Triton Raider with bolstered suspension, robust bash plate and uprated all-terrain tyres.
Testing
Part of the Triton Raider’s 40,000km of local engineering development included 7,000 km of gruelling trials in the unforgiving Flinders Ranges, South Australia.
Validation
The Triton Raider was pushed extensively on sealed test roads, unsealed off-road tracks and extreme 4x4 challenges at AARC proving ground.
Mitsubishi Motors Australia and Premcar delivered a formidable off-road ute.
With a range of upgrades and enhancements, and significant on- and off-road testing, Triton Raider is ready to charge into uncharted territory.
THE VISION
Engineered to be different
The Triton Raider is equipped with a new suspension set up and uprated all-terrain tyre package. It was developed, tested and re-engineered here in Australia, meaning it’s built specifically for the toughest Aussie terrain.
Every element of the suspension system has been upgraded, with changes made to the springs, dampers and jounce bumpers to bolster Triton’s already famous capability. Plus, as a Mitsubishi, its still backed by Australia’s first 10 year warranty1.
